Cleaning Wood Cutting Boards

Wood cutting boards may be cleaned with a solution of household bleach and water. 

Mix together 1 teaspoon of chlorine bleach and one quart of water. 

Wash the cutting board with hot, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. 

Spray the chlorine bleach solution onto the board and let air dry.



Seasoning Wood Cutting Boards

To season a wooden cutting board prior to use, 

heat vegetable oil until warm and rub a small amount into the wood with a lint-free cloth.

Let air dry. More than one application may be necessary.
